President – Charles Chen

The current sitting President of the Mississauga Chinese Business Association Young Professional.

Charles is an entrepreneur at heart. Over the years, he has started businesses for my interest. Dealt with government and regulatory agencies from numerous industries and have the first-hand experience in the bureaucratic and legislative process that is necessary to get a business going. Recently, the emphasizes has been a concentration on Traditional Chinese Medicine, and he is in the process of becoming a registered R. TCMP.

He has planned, volunteered, MC-ed for multiple events in the City of Mississauga. He has been a part of the Community Crime Awareness Day, Street Cleaning Litter Bug Project, Community BBQ for all levels of Government, Community RoundTables and the Million Tree Initiative.

Recently, he has begun to take an interest in serving the City of Mississauga in a closer method.  He put his name forward and ran for the position of School Trustee for the Region of Peel. Along the way, he has met numerous like-minded individuals. And even though he lost the election, he has built connections and networks that he will treasure for the rest of his career.

Vice President – Orest Kuchar

Orest Kuchar is currently an articling student at Pappas Law, practicing in the areas of personal injury and family law. He graduated from the University of Toronto in 2013 and then went on to study law at Newcastle University, graduating in the year 2018. During his studies in the United Kingdom, Orest co-founded NapYap; a student accommodation website and blog. This created an online community helping students find their ideal home while away at university. While in Newcastle, he was a very active member of the start-up community and he still enjoys meeting new people with similar entrepreneurial mindsets. His goal is to play an active role in creating a networking platform for young professionals in Mississauga.

Treasurer and Finances – Carol Wang

She pursued a double major in Financial Analysis & Risk Management and Statistics, which has given her the exposure of investment and financial markets. Courses she has taken include Corporate Finance, Portfolio Optimization, Fixed Income Securities and Mathematical Statistics. This has equipped her with superb analytical skills to translate raw data into useful insights. Being able to tell a story out of a dataset has inspired her to pursue a career in Financial Services. Working for State Farm Insurance, she organized various community events in an effort to acquire new business, from which she demonstrated strong communication and organization skills. Apart from that, she also tracked and analyzed the marketing expenses in Excel to ensure it is well within the  budgets, from which she demonstrated strong analytical skills.

Outside of school and work, she really enjoys volunteering, because she enjoys giving back to communities. She has volunteered with various organizations, and her current experience is with United Way Greater Toronto Area. She has been assisting with events that help new Chinese immigrants settle down in their new home, which to her, is beyond meaningful.

 

 

 

Director – Dale Gu

Dale joined MCBA YP since 2017. He enjoys making positive impacts on people’s life, and he is passionated about contributing his time to help community thrive. Dale Gu is a Life and Living Benefits specialist with RBC Insurance. Dale is specializing in creating solid risk management plans to protect clients’ family, businesses, and matters that are important to them. Dale gained a rich global experience by living in China and Canada. Especially in Canada, he has successfully build up relationship with hundreds of people from various age group and cultural background. Prior to landing in Mississauga, Dale held an important role in a Chinese manufacturing company. He developed business strategies to the company explored international market. He also actively built up and maintained long-term relationship with clients, investors and local governments in China market. Dale has developed a very proactive lifestyle. He enjoys hiking and golfing in summer days, and snowboarding in the winter.

Director – Chuck Zheng

Chuck joined the MCBA YP in 2019. Chuck’s business is mainly in video production and photography in Canada and China. He was graduated from Sheridan College, Advanced Television and Film program.

Executive Director – Mitt Kapadia

Mitt Kapadia is a licenced mortgage agent with over 10 years of experience in finance and business technology industries.  As a finance professional at an award-winning brokerage, Mitt provides a stress-free service while saving his clients money on their largest purchase.

September 18 – October 23, 2020

Mississauga Chinese Business Association (MCBA) is launching the “Revitalize Mississauga Business In Action Campaign” in supporting Mississauga businesses’ reopening, and contributing to the recovery of our economy.  Members of MCBA are welcome and encourage participating FREE.  While social distancing is the order of the day, it is more important than ever that we stay strong to support each other.
