Harvey Hu

President

Harvey Hu joined as a member of MCBA in 2010 after he moved his import and wholesale business to Mississauga, Ontario. He has been the president of Grand International Trading since 2001, supplying thousands of retailers with a variety of product lines across Canada. He was elected to be the 10th president of MCBA in 2023. Apart from his work, he is always trying to contribute his time to the local community and help those who need a hand.

Winnie has been actively involved with MCBA since its inaugural in 1991 and officially served the Board since 2003. She was nominated in four terms as Vice President since 2008 and two terms as President from 2016 – 2021.  

Ms. Fung is an entrepreneur, international business development – training management professional as well as a business and community front-runner. She has over two decades of experience in managing Canada-China bilateral partnership projects funded by Federal and international donors that promotes cross-learning, human development and transfer of skills and technology, thereby fostering strong economic and social progress. She organized numerous public-private partnership international trade missions, international conferences, and exchange mission projects. She has developed an extensive network of experts, professionals, and community influencers in public & private business sectors both in Canada and the East – China (Hong Kong) & Asia.

At the community level, she dedicates herself and is involved with several community organizations that promote cultural learning, appreciation and supporting integration for an inclusive community. Winnie also plays a key role at the Confederation of Greater Toronto Chinese Business Association, a joint force which promote Chinese business and community unity.

In recognition of her extensive services to the community, Winnie was a recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal – a commemorative medal served to honour significant contributions and achievements individually. 

Pierre Chen

Pierre Chen is the Founder and Director of Admissions at the Canadian College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, based in Mississauga. A Registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner (R.TCMP) and Acupuncturist (R.Ac), Pierre holds a Master’s in Medicine with a specialization in Integrative Medicine.

Since joining the MCBA in 2016, Pierre has been committed to promoting Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) within the local community and across Canada. He represents Canada on international standards committees ISO/TC 249 (Traditional Chinese Medicine) and ISO/TC 215 (Health Informatics), contributing to the global development of TCM practices.

Pierre has completed advanced training in medical education at Harvard Medical School and was honored with the King Charles III Coronation Medal for his service and contributions to the field.

His vision is to bridge traditional and modern healthcare by making TCM education and practice more accessible and integrated within Canadian society.

Pierre Wong was born in a little known French colony called Fort-Bayard (Kwong Chow Wan), China. After finishing high school at La Salle College in Kowloon, Hong Kong he went to study at Queen’s University, Kingston, Ontario and graduated with a B.A. degree majoring in Economics. As an entrepreneur, he ran a successful business for more than thirty years, importing and distributing his own brand of clothing across Canada. At the same time, he was also very much involved in real estate. He developed and built properties in the heart of Toronto, Chinatown and Mississauga. In 2007, he decided to put his financial expertise to good use and for the benefit of his own community. He joined Investors Group as a Financial Planner after being their client for more than 20 years. He believes everyone can achieve financial security just by taking the time to plan. To complement his day work he contributes his time and resources to many local charitable organizations in Mississauga. Pierre will be celebrating his 14th anniversary as a consultant at IG Wealth Management in December this year.

Annes Liu

Annes Liu has been a member of MCBA since 2017. She was raised in Hong Kong and pursued post-secondary education in accounting in Taiwan. She returned to Hong Kong to start a career in the exhibition industry, organizing vendor events and trade shows in Hong Kong and worldwide.

Annes is known for her passion for business and relentless pursuit of providing superior service to clients. She migrated to Canada in 2004 and worked with various global companies in the supply chain. 

As a licensed Real Estate Agent since 2012, she co-founded “The Condo Attitude”— a VIP pre-construction sales brand catering to the Greater Toronto Area and beyond. She is looking forward to helping our Mississauga Chinese Business community improve and grow. 

Lilian Kwok

Lilian is the Director, Business Development and Human Resources for Nations Fresh Foods – a new brand of the Oceans Fresh Food Market in Ontario, Canada.  She joined MCBA in 1998 and has been the President for two terms (2012-2014) & (2014-2016).  At present, she continues to serve as a Director on the MCBA Board.  In her role as the President of MCBA, Lilian was one of the Team Leaders of the China Trade Missions organized by the Confederation of Greater Toronto Chinese Business Association, in the years of 2012 and 2015.

She has over 25 years of experience in the human resources field, specializes in providing high impact training, coaching and performance enhancement services to organizations, individuals and professional delegations.  Lilian holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) and is a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP).

Besides business development, she has been actively involved in community service for over 20 years and was a recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal Award in 2013 in recognition of her contribution to the community.  In March 2016, Lilian was awarded the Leading Women’s Award by the Ontario Minister Responsible for Women’s Issues.

Lilian has been sitting on several boards and committees, including the Mississauga International Partnership Program (2015), the Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Committee (2015-2018) of the City of Mississauga, the Global Hamilton Council of the City of Hamilton (2015 to present). Safe City Mississauga (2018 to present) and the Chief’s Advisory Council of the Peel Regional Police (2017 to present).  At present, she is the President of the Hamilton Chinese Business Association.

Eric Lin

Eric has joined the board since 2020 and has been working in RBC Royal Bank for 20 years, with 10+ years’ experience in business banking.  Eric was born in Hong Kong, studied in Queen’s college until Form 4 (Grade 10 equivalent) and immigrated to Canada in 1992.  Eric graduated from University of Toronto in 2000 and working in RBC since 2001.  Eric have been actively helping Asian entrepreneurs to establish in GTA market.

Jenny Lo

Jenny Lo is an entrepreneur with over 20 years of experiences in business management and strategic business planning, presentation, financial integrity and operation in the manufacturing industry. Jenny and her business partners started their product inventions and business development since 2011. She is currently Vice President of Business Development of Sky2Design Manufacturing Ltd. in Canada. Their team introduces the solar powered innovative technology of appliances and smart food management products together with many new product ideas to North America and globally.

Being the Co-Founder and the President of the Brampton Chinese Business Association, Jenny is now also a Committee Member of the City of Brampton Economic Support Task Force in Canadaduring this cOVID-19 pandemic in Canada since2020. She is also an active advisory committee member of Peel Regional Police Chief’s Resource Council.
Since Jenny has been participating many Ontario Trade Mission globally since years ago, she has been focusing Virtual Trade Missions globally with her manufacturing and product design industry experiences so as to create projects and jobs both in Canada and Hong Kong.

With over 10 years of experience in the Cruise Industry, Tracy is passionate about crafting unforgettable vacation experiences. She is dedicated to delivering professional cruise consulting services with currently role as manager with UCruising Vacations in Mississauga Branch.

In 2012 summer, Tracy began her career as Tourism promoter with Destination Ontario, a leading tourism marketing organization. Since then, she has traveled to over 20 countries with various cruise lines, bringing in valuable global experiences and cultural insights to her work. Tracy believes each journey is a new chapter in life’s adventure, always embracing the joy of exploration along the way.

As a proud member of the Mississauga Chinese Business Association (MCBA), she is excited to collaborate with the exceptional MCBA team and look forward to contributing further meaningful to the community.

 

 

Stephen Xu

Stephen Xu was born in Guangzhou China and gained a master’s degree from Warwick University UK in 2003. He had worked for a European cargo airline for 10 years in China and immigrated to Canada in 2012. In Canada Stephen continued  his logistics career, majored in different supply chain sections for another 10 years. At present he’s the general manager of BSI Canada, a leading freight forwarding company located in Mississauga. Being a Toastmaster member for years, Stephen served as president of a Toastmaster Club in Mississauga in 2017 and was awarded President Distinguished Club. As a responsible firearm PAL holder and because of professional requirements, Stephen has strong sense of safety and security. He’s willing to contribute to a safe community for everyone. Stephen is part of a happy family with two daughters.

Hamorn Chung

Mrs. Hamorn Chung (RCIC-IRB, OCELT, MEd, MCoun, GradDipICL, DipHRM) is a respected Director of the Mississauga Chinese Business Association (MCBA), with over 20 years of leadership in immigration consultancy, education, and community advocacy. She is the Founder and Director of Hamorn Chung Canadian Immigration Consultancy Inc., a licensed Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC-IRB), and a Commissioner of Oaths appointed by the Ministry of the Attorney General in Ontario.

A certified English language teacher and experienced educator, Mrs. Chung holds multiple postgraduate qualifications in education, counselling, and human resources. She is the proud recipient of numerous accolades, including the Marian Webb Award from Queen’s University and the Inspire Award from the Halton District School Board—both recognizing her outstanding contributions to education and community leadership.

As a Director of MCBA, Mrs. Chung actively promotes inclusive economic development by empowering entrepreneurs, supporting newcomer integration, and fostering cross-cultural business partnerships. She is widely known for her integrity, innovation, and tireless dedication to strengthening the Chinese-Canadian business community in Mississauga and beyond.

Dong Yao

Originally from Qingdao, China, Dong is an experienced banker with over 15 years of experience in the Canadian banking industry. Throughout his career, Dong has developed extensive knowledge and expertise in retail banking, commercial banking, and wealth management.

Dong’s current role is Senior Private Banker and Team Lead at Scotia Wealth Management, where he specializes in providing customized lending solutions to both individual and business clients. Prior to his Private Banker role, Dong worked at another major Canadian bank as a Senior Relationship Manager, Canadian Commercial Banking. His approach to work is characterized by a high level of professionalism, strong work ethic and unwavering integrity. Dong holds an MBA degree from Schulich School of Business, York University, and he is fluent in both English and Mandarin.

Nicholas Ho

Nicholas Ho immigrated to Toronto from Hong Kong in 1994. With a background in engineering and experience working at Hong Kong Gas Company, Nicholas brought with him a strong foundation in problem-solving and client service. After exploring several industries in Canada, he found his true calling in the insurance field.
Today, Nicholas is a licensed Insurance Broker at Billyard Insurance Group, specializing in home, auto, business, and travel insurance. He is known for providing accurate, fast, and personalized service, helping clients find the right coverage while saving money. For Nicholas, being an insurance broker is more than a job—it’s a meaningful way to support and protect his community.
In recent years, Nicholas has become increasingly active in community involvement. He is proud to serve as a Director of the Mississauga Chinese Business Association, where he contributes his professional experience and multicultural insight to support local businesses and strengthen community ties.
Fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, Nicholas bridges cultures and industries with professionalism, care, and integrity.

Lydia Zhu

Lydia Zhu was born in Guangzhou, China, and immigrated to Canada with her parents when she was three years old. She moved to Toronto at the age of ten and has lived there ever since. Lydia enjoys the vibrant atmosphere of the city and is passionate about giving back through community volunteer work.

She works for Arbor Memorial as a licensed Cemetery Sales Representative and a licensed Funeral Pre-Planner. Lydia believes it’s important to educate people about cemetery and funeral pre-planning, as many are unfamiliar with the process. She understands that during emotionally challenging times, it can be difficult to absorb and retain essential information, which is why she is committed to helping families plan ahead with clarity and care.

In her personal time, Lydia enjoys staying active and participating in a variety of sports. Her favorite sport is badminton, but she also enjoys hiking, golfing, fishing, and more.

Claire Li, originally from Hebei, China, earned a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from the University of Toronto. Since joining IG Wealth Management in 2015, she has dedicated her career to helping young families build financial security and supporting seniors in preserving their legacies. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER professional, she delivers personalized financial strategies tailored to each client’s unique needs. Her approach prioritizes long-term stability, helping clients feel confident about their financial future while staying focused on what matters most.
Outside of work, Claire enjoys a well-rounded and active lifestyle. She loves spending her weekends exploring local hiking trails, catching the latest films, and discovering new restaurants across the city. Whether it’s a cozy dinner with friends or a quiet walk in nature, she values the little moments that bring joy and balance.
